200 Years of Railways

2025 marks two hundred years since the world's first passenger train George Stephenson's Locomotion No.1 hauled the world's first passenger train along the Stockton and Darlington Railway. In celebration of this anniversary the rail industry has come together to develop Railway 200, a year-long programme of events

PLEASE NOTE: Events for 2025 will be added over the next few months (It takes a long while to complete as some railways do not list their events until well into the new year).
