Heritage Railways hold over 1000 special events every year. Events for all the railways for the next few months are listed here.
(Events for 2017 will be added over the next few months. This is largely dependant on when the railways publish their events on their own websites. I hope to have checked them all before the end of January, and will then check again during February.)

Bala Model Railway Show & Bala Lake Festival of Transport

Two great family shows on one weekend at either end of the railway, and the best way to get from one to the other is by train, plus a connecting bus service. Park your car once, visit both shows and travel by steam train and vintage bus, for a great family day out.

All available locomotives, coaches and rolling stock will be in action this weekend with a special intensive timetable in operation. Fares allow unlimited travel on day of issue to enable visitors to travel behind as many engines as possible.
