The railway offers a 25-mile round trip between Laverton and Cheltenham Racecourse. The line commands wonderful views of the sleepy hamlets and villages, as it runs though the beautiful Cotswold countryside.

Facilities (in addition to a steam and diesel hauled heritage rail service) include a small museum at Toddington Station located in a former GWR Collett Brake Coach dating from 1935 which houses a display of memorabilia and early scenes of the railway. Refreshments are available from the Flag & Whistle Team Room at Toddington and our 1950s style Coffee Shop at Winchcombe.

All restoration work has been completed by volunteers, using revenue generated from our operations and shareholder capital. We are a professional operating railway staffed entirely by unpaid volunteers.

Also, see the Toddington Narrow Gauge Railway which is co-located with the GWR, adjacent to Toddington Station. The 2 foot narrow-gauge line usually runs services at peak times during the main season.
